Official guidelines for marketing review and compliance

1. Brand Voice Principles

Talk Like a Friend

Use conversational, approachable language. Avoid corporate jargon and speak like you're helping a neighbor.

Know Your Stuff

Demonstrate expertise confidently. Back up claims with knowledge and experience in vehicle protection.

Cut the Nonsense

Be direct and honest. Get to the point without unnecessary fluff or misleading language.

3. Typography

Font Family

URW Form

Primary brand typeface. Fallbacks: system-ui, -apple-system, Segoe UI, Roboto, Arial, sans-serif

Font Weights

Extra Bold (800)— Headings
Regular (400)— Body & Legal

Typography Rules

  • Body text must be left-aligned (ragged right)
  • No text distortions or effects (shadows, outlines)
  • No kerning manipulation
  • No stretching or compressing type

4. Logo Usage Rules

✓ Allowed Variants

  • Full color logo (standard usage)
  • Full color with white outline (dark backgrounds ONLY)
  • Grayscale logo (when color printing unavailable)

Minimum Height

1 inch (96px at 96dpi)

1/4 inch (24px) minimum on all sides

5. Logo Misuse (Don'ts)

  • Never alter, stretch, compress, or distort the logo
  • Never separate logo elements (shield, wordmark, tagline)
  • Never recreate or modify logo artwork
  • Never add effects (shadows, glows, outlines beyond approved)
  • Never place on busy/cluttered backgrounds
  • Never rotate or skew the logo
  • Never change logo colors outside approved variants

6. Imagery Guidelines

1.Use only approved imagery from Resource Center / Marketing Toolbox
2.Images should reflect authentic vehicle protection scenarios
3.Maintain high quality and resolution standards
4.Ensure proper licensing for all imagery used

7. Co-Branding Rules

  • 1Ziebart logo must maintain minimum size requirements
  • 2Proper clear space must be maintained around all logos
  • 3Follow size hierarchy guidelines from Marketing
  • 4Get approval for any co-branding arrangements

8. PR Checklist (for Developers)

Copy this checklist to your GitHub PR template:

- [ ] All Ziebart logos are used via <ZiebartLogo/> only (no ad-hoc images)
- [ ] Logo never stretched/compressed; min height ≥ 1 inch equivalent; clear space maintained
- [ ] Outline logo variant used only on dark backgrounds
- [ ] Body text is left-aligned; URW Form used; headings Extra Bold, body Regular
- [ ] No unapproved text effects (shadow/outline), no kerning manipulation, no distortion
- [ ] Color usage uses tokens only; official values: Red #e12726, Warm Black #1a1717, Yellow #fcd900, Gray #63656a
